C. Keith Collins

C. Keith Collins, skilled in the recorder, bassoon, and harp, serves as an adjunct instructor in historical bassoon and recorder at Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music's Historical Performance Institute. He also imparts his expertise in historical bassoon at the University of North Texas.

Keith's musical journey has seen him perform with numerous leading early music ensembles, including the Washington Bach Consort, Tafelmusik, National Cathedral Baroque Orchestra, Opera Atelier, Apollo's Fire, Echoing Air, Folger Consort, and the Grammy-nominated Musik Ekklesia. As a founding member of the award-winning shawm and curtal band Ensemble Lipzodes, he has contributed significantly to the ensemble's acclaim.

In 2008, Keith achieved the notable distinction of completing the first doctorate in historical bassoon performance at Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music. Outside of his musical pursuits, Keith dedicates his time to volunteering at the Indiana Raptor Center, an institution focused on the rehabilitation and education of birds of prey. His involvement goes beyond volunteering, as he also serves on the Board of Directors and delivers educational presentations to the public on raptor ecology and conservation.
