Daniel Bubeck

Countertenor Daniel Bubeck is an acclaimed artist with an international presence, having graced the stages of prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, Concertgebouw, Barbican Centre, and more. His performances have ranged from opera houses to concert halls worldwide. With a specialization in baroque music, he has delivered captivating renditions of masterworks by composers like Bach and Handel, including St. John and St. Matthew Passions and a rich selection of Handel's beloved compositions, such as Giulio Cesare, Rinaldo, Orlando, Serse, and many others.

Bubeck's career highlights include significant world premieres and recordings, including John Adams’ El Niño and The Gospel According to the Other Mary. He has left his mark on over forty subsequent productions and participated in the American premiere of the oratorio, Lost Objects, featuring music by David Lang and composers Julia Wolfe and Michael Gordon. His impressive discography includes CD recordings of John Adams’ El Niño and The Gospel According to the Other Mary (Nonesuch and Deutsche Gramophone), Vivaldi cantatas (Sony Classical), and the soundtrack of the Warner Bros. hit thriller, I am Legend.

A native of Wilmington, DE, Dr. Bubeck holds degrees from the University of Delaware, Peabody Conservatory, and Indiana University. In addition to his extensive performance career, he shares his vocal expertise as a voice teacher at the University of North Texas.
